Archival & Social Studies is a digital, free, and peer-reviewed journal on archival science.

It focuses on:

A creative use of theory, practice, concepts, uses, paradigms, models, etc., drawn from other disciplines, in order to solve current issues in archival science and recordkeeping. These disciplines include traditionally related areas –librarianship, information science, information studies, law, diplomatics, history…-, as well as more sophisticated approaches –sociology, anthropology, philosophy, informatics, arts, mathematics…
A creative use of theory, practice, concepts, uses, paradigms, models, etc., drawn from archival science and recordkeeping, in order to solve issues in related disciplines, and/or to show how this use contributes to a successful management of data, information, documents, records, and related entities, in different environments.

Manuscripts Submission

Manuscripts will be submitted and reviewed online.
Formats for text will be Word, RTF, and Open Office.
Type will be Times New Roman.
Electronic versions of figures will be supplied in separate files.
For vector graphics, EPS is the preferred format.
For bitmapped graphics, TIFF is the preferred format.
The optimal resolution is 600 dpi.
Quotations of more than 5 lines should be set off clearly, by indenting the left-hand margin.
Quotations of less than 5 lines will remain in the paragraph, using double quotation marks for direct quotations and single quotation marks for quotations within quotations.
Words or phrases used in a special sense will be marked as italics.
Manuscripts should be accompanied by a brief biography of the author, as well as e-mail.
Manuscripts should be accompanied by an abstract and a proposal concerning keywords (maximum five).
